Today is the Transgender Day of Visibility, a chance to recognize and celebrate the lives of transgender and non-binary people. I am especially inspired by the community during this time in our nation’s history as they continue to bravely fight for a legitimized place in our society. At a time when prejudice and hate are being openly sanctioned by powerful people, being genuine and visible are acts of rebellion.
As a way to honor this day and this community, please consider doing the following:
Educate: learn more about trans people and the realities/issues they face. Advocates for Trans Quality is a great place to start!
